City Center East Village - Infrastructure and streets have been completed and construction work continues on Buildings #1 & #2. The first tenant finish building permit plans have been submitted for building #1, reflecting a 7,400 sq ft Paddy O’Quigley’s restaurant. Final plans were previously approved for buildings #3 and #4 (119-room Marriot SpringHill Suites) and it is anticipated that building permits will be submitted for those two buildings in the summer of 2008.
City Center North Village - Infrastructure and streets on the project’s west side are substantially complete. Initial footing and foundation work continues on the 309-unit WestEnd apartment project. A number of permits for the 31 small-lot single-family CrossPointe Creek cottage project have been issued and the 1st homes are substantially complete. Building permit submittal for the 1st phase of the 102 unit townhome project Crosspointe Creek are anticipated in the summer of 2008. Preliminary plans for a mixed-use project were submitted for Lot 7, and will include a multi-story hotel, retail and office uses, structured parking and twin residential condo towers of eight and ten stories.
City Center Lenexa – While revised concept plans were only recently approved for this city owned portion of the neighborhood, initial grading work is expected to get underway by the summer of 2008.
Village Green at City Center - Earlier this year concept plans were approved on the northern 10 acres and preliminary plans were approved for the remainder of the project. Grading is anticipated before or during the summer 2008.
City Center NorthEast Village – Preliminary plans for this project were just recently submitted and will be reviewed by the Planning Commission at their June 2, 2008 meeting.
Golf Club of Kansas/Cottonwood Canyon - The 18-hole semi-private golf course has recently opened and grading infrastructure work continues on the single-family portion of the project at the southwest corner of the project. Concept plan submittal for the City Center zoned portion of the project along 87th Street Parkway is anticipated at some future point in time.
87th Street/Renner Boulevard Reconstruction - Engineering design work continues for both Renner Boulevard north of 87th Street Parkway and the reconfiguration of 87th Street Parkway west of Renner Boulevard to Lennox Drive. Grading is now expected to be underway during the fall 2008 with completion of most roadway work projected for the end of 2009.
Lifetime Fitness Center – Located due south of the City Center Neighborhood, Lifetime Fitness has submitted building permit plans to construct a 2-story, 112,000 sq ft fitness facility. Grading on this project is anticipated in the near future.
